1. The service

PolicyWise provides policy templates, a guided questionnaire, optional AI drafting help and document downloads. You are responsible for the policies you create and adopt.

2. Not legal advice — your attorney must review every policy

PolicyWise provides templates, software and general information only. PolicyWise is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by using it. Templates, suggested answers, examples, “what others do” notes and AI suggestions are general starting points that may not fit your organization, state or industry, and may be out of date.

PolicyWise takes no responsibility for, and makes no promise about, the legal compliance or lawfulness of any policy, procedure, process or document you create with it, or of how you use or apply it. You alone are responsible for the policies you adopt and for following the law.

Every policy must be reviewed and approved by your own licensed attorney before you adopt, publish, distribute or rely on it. You can record your attorney in Business information and send each policy to them from PolicyWise for review, approval, additions, edits or deletions; PolicyWise only carries those messages and does not review their content.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you enter and upload. You give PolicyWise permission to store and process it to provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider when you use AI features. Don't upload information you aren't allowed to share, and don't include personal identifiers such as Social Security or payment card numbers.

4. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We check content automatically and review flagged content, and we may pause AI features or suspend accounts that break it.

5. Plans and payment

Paid plans renew automatically through Stripe until cancelled. Each plan includes monthly allowances (for example AI usage and uploads); unused allowance does not carry over.

6. Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before a claim.
